Netflix Untold Stories
Context
Untold Stories, is an episodic series that celebrates unique people, departments, and organisations within Netflix. Vucko – a creative practice who specialise in branded animation – were tasked with creating a branded show package including an intro, outro, title sequences and backgrounds.
I was brought in to create mind-boggling three dimensional compositions and animation concepts that were then beautifully rendered and animated by Vucko and team.

In storytelling, all protagonists find themselves on a journey - they take a path often filled with twists, turns and conflict. This inspired the motif seen throughout the entire package: the hero’s pathway.
One of the stand-out contributions I made to this project was to develop a concept for the journey’s grand finale. We had to find a memorable way for the pathway to end, and I noticed that Netflix’s iconic N symbol could be seen at different angle as a loop. This logo resolve acted as a visual payoff at the journey’s end, and made for a seamless transition into the end-frame.
The experimental phase of this project was brilliantly rigorous. I produced hundreds of digital ‘sketches’ to illustrate various concepts – many of which were developed and flawlessly brought to life in motion by Vucko and team.
